1 Comment Last wedding of the Summer

Our good friend Scott got married this last weekend in SLC. Lee and Scott grew up together and Scott hooked Lee and I up. He is an amazing man and we are so happy that he has found someone just as amazing to make him happy! His sealing was the 3rd sealing we were able to attend in the last 3 months. I just LOVE listening to the sealers and hearing what each one has to say! Scott and Jess’s reception was super fun, we even reconnected with a few friends from my singles ward back in UT! It was super fun to catch up with Jen and Rosemary and hear what they had been up to for the last 13 years.

We also got to go play at Lagoon for a day! Even without kids, it was super fun! I kind of felt like a teenager (you know the ones that makeout on every ride jk) Anyway, we totally enjoyed the freedom and carefree feeling! The first night we stayed with my friend Jen. The fire behind her house got so out of control that she got evacuated! I was glad we were there to help her throw stuff in boxes and try and get all the important thing out of the house! Luckily no damage was done to her home. She was so amazing during the whole incident! She kept so calm and positive and had faith that everything was going to be fine! If I were her I would have been freaking out about my gorgeous new home, my super cute wardrobe, my nice new rug,…. the list goes on forever. But she wasn’t like that at all. She only was worried about the pictures and the things that had true value that couldn’t be replaced. She is amazing, thanks for being a wonderful example of what truly is important.

The rest of the weekend we stayed with my Dad and LorrieAnn! It was so relaxing and nice to spend time with them and catch up! They even spoiled us with homemade bread and FatBoys! Lee and I flew standby and had no problems getting to SLC, but the way home was a bit more difficult. I only missed 2 flights, but poor Lee had to spend all day in the airport and had to go back to my dads until the next morning before he could catch a flight! He was a trooper! It’s so not fun to be “trapped” in the airport never knowing when you are going to be put on a plane. Thanks for my dad and Lorrie for helping Lee out!

  1. Hey, I just had a whirlwind tour of your summer so far. Looks like you have been having way too much fun. I am excited to tell everyone that I have a famous cousin- that is cool that you got to sing at the game. I bet you are loving singing with great friends. I did that when we lived in Provo- our little group was called “In Harmony” we sang at lots of retirement centers, church functions, etc. But we never made it to the big time like you!! Love you!
