We have been extremely lucky to have made it thus far without any broken bones or stitches. Well that was until last Saturday when Kendyl was trying to retrive her toy from the neighbors yard and fell off the fence. She had made it over the fence, had her toy in hand, but didn’t quite make it back over to our yard. I think she was scared she would get in trouble for being in the neighbors yard that she didn’t cry. Kailey (who was outside with Kendyl) told her to meet her at the gate on the other side of our neighbors yard. She helped her open that gate and then come back through our gate. I think Kendyl was on her way inside to tell her dad that she fell when he sent her to her room for not wiping her feet before trudging dirt through the freshly mopped floor.
Meanwhile Kennedy and I had just finished up at the pediatric urgent care for her pink eye. We came home to Lee re-mopping the floor (yes, he is amazing) and Kendyl crying in her room. When I went to see what was wrong she told me she had fallen and her arm was hurting. After cleaning her up in the tub we decided we better play it safe. So, back to urgent care I went. Kendyl was such a trouper, no crying or complaining. The Dr’s and nurses all doted over her for being so tough. Sure enough she had fractured her radius bone in her left arm. Now she is sporting a sparkly pink cast.
