Kendyl’s New Accessory

We have been extremely lucky to have made it thus far without any broken bones or stitches.  Well that was until last Saturday when Kendyl was trying to retrive her toy from the neighbors yard and fell off the fence.  She had made it over the fence, had her toy in hand, but didn’t quite make it back over to our yard.  I think she was scared she would get in trouble for being in the neighbors yard that she didn’t cry.  Kailey (who was outside with Kendyl) told her to meet her at the gate on the other side of our neighbors yard.  She helped her open that gate and then come back through our gate.  I think Kendyl was on her way inside to tell her dad that she fell when he sent her to her room for not wiping her feet before trudging dirt through the freshly mopped floor.

Meanwhile Kennedy and I had just finished up at the pediatric urgent care for her pink eye.  We came home to Lee re-mopping the floor (yes, he is amazing) and Kendyl crying in her room.  When I went to see what was wrong she told me she had fallen and her arm was hurting.  After cleaning her up in the tub we decided we better play it safe.  So, back to urgent care I went.  Kendyl was such a trouper, no crying or complaining.  The Dr’s and nurses all doted over her for being so tough.  Sure enough she had fractured her radius bone in her left arm.  Now she is sporting a sparkly pink cast.

Happy Easter 2013

I will catch up later, promise.  In the meantime, Happy Easter!

More Running

Kennedy and Karsynn participated in the district wide meet this last week. They don’t love to run, but they know it is healthy and they are both such great sports. Twice a week they get to run with their school friends, and once a month they have meets with a few other schools. This meet was on a much bigger scale and the girls really seemed to enjoy it. I think their favorite part was getting the cute little goodie bags afterwards. I’m so proud of these two cute girls.

Kailey had activity days and got to go on a bike ride. She seems to really enjoy being with the older group and she loves her leaders. She also is a proud owner of an African Dwarf Frog. The school used several of these frogs for their science unit and offered them to the kids. Kailey did lots of research to find out what type of habitat she wanted to create for her frog. She made a list of everything needed and we headed to the pet store. I told her I’d match what she spent. I loved watching her price things out and trying to find the best deals. She loves her little Chloe and has been super responsible with her so far. She even loves feeding her bloodworms and cleaning her water. Since she only paid for 1/2 of Chloe’s home I told her that she needed to share. After 3 hours of trying to share, she brought me $15 and offered to by my share so she could be the sole owner. I love this kid, she is so fun when she is happy and excited about things.

Fall Break!

So today is the start of our Fall Break! We are pretty stoked around here. Lee took the whole week off which means even more fun! Since the weather here is perfect we decided to stick around and let the girls each pick a day to plan. They will chose what we eat, where we eat, what we do, and when we get to do it! I’m sure this will get crazy and wild, but hey, that’s what its all about right? Today was a little warm up to our big week. We woke up to Lees delicious pancakes, went to piano lessons (we have to keep a bit of routine, or I go crazy), and then headed out to see Snow White at Hale Theater. The girls loved it! Afterwards we drove by some food trucks and decided to sample the goods. Tonight Lee and I get to finish off our evening with a hot date! Life is Good!

Officially a Preschooler

So, cute Kendyl started preschool today and was so excited! I think I was pretty excited too! It’s been quite a few years (9 1/2 to be exact) since I felt “free”. I know I know, cherish the time you have with your little ones. Well I have and now it’s time to cherish my alone time. It’s only 2 hours a day for three days a week, I can be selfish for a total of 6 hours a week right?

Well thats what I thought, but after going over what I accomplished, I don’t think it was really selfish. Trust me, I had selfish plans that included my bed, a good book and a bowl of ice cream, but in reality I was quite productive. I’m not really a handy man, but today I replaced all our kitchen cupboard hardware. Yep, me with nails and a screw gun that went way too fast, I made myself and my hubby pretty proud!

Meet the Teacher and a bit of Sewing

Today Kendyl got to “meet her teacher”. She was so excited to finally get a start on this whole preschool thing. She wasn’t sure why I was stickin around, she kept wanting me to leave. I tried to explain that would be next week, but she was ready today. At least I won’t have to worry about any “attachment” issues.

I tried my hand at sewing today! I think my last experience using a machine was back in middle school when I sewed a hamberger and hotdog pillow (yep, I loved food back then too). Anyway with the skilled advice from Jen and the help of Sabina, I managed to make two skirts! I think they turned out pretty darn cute and my girls love them!

Rain

This week has been a rainy one. Kendyl and I decided to embrace it this morning!

This girl cracks me up!

These Two

These two are the silliest ever! With their older sisters gone all day, Kendyl and Karsynn get lots of time with each other. I love listening to them play, their imaginations amaze me. They go hours and hours playing without fighting. They are so cute~ Once school starts it will just be Kendyl and I, I better get my creative juices flowing.

Kendyls Birthday

Our Little Lady is 4!!! Crazy to think it’s been that long since she was our itty little baby. Yesterday was my first day back at work and all of my coworkers couldn’t believe that 4 years had gone by since I last worked there. Anyway, Kendyl wanted a build-a-bear this year. Lee and I took her on a hot date and had fun spoiling her! It’s was super fun to get some one on one time with her! We sure do love this girl!
At sunday dinner all of the MEN were prancing around in high heels trying to out do us girls. Since the men were hogging all of the pretty shoes Kendyl decided to “Prance” in their shoes. It was pretty silly! I am being “nice” and not posting these hilarious videos of my extremely talented brothers and husband. We’ll have to see how long my nice streak lasts heheheh.

Merry Christmas!
